Riding in Oman
 

Hi fellow riders,

I have been riding for the last 6 months through S.E.Asia and Australia and my next leg of the journey is from Oman all the way through Duabi, Iran, Turkey and then enter Europe.

I would like to know whether there is any specific permits required in Oman besides the CARNET and do we need to have local insurance.

Would appreciate if somebody could throw some light into this..

Just seen this and expect you are already through the UAE. I live in Dubai and have to have Oman Ins to go in. you can get it at the border for about 50 Riyals. You will also need separate for Dubai.
