Proof Of Onward Travel

Hi everyone,

Now I may be a foolish young chap with hope in his heart and adventure on his mind but I have come up against what could be a small stumbling block. When flying into places like India or Thailand with a mind to ride out of the countries do you still have to have proof of onward travel (e.g. an onward ticket) or do they accept that you are going to get out under your own steam?

I have never been checked in Thailand, dont know about India, if anything just make shoure you can show them you have a nuff money for your trip and they should bee happy.

Not sure what country you mean but I will try and answer!

UK - Bought at Cupar motorcycles will get a Carnet before we leave. Then overland through Europe and into Turkey then flying it into India (probably Mumbai) then we have two choices, overland all the way to Indonesia depends on whether we want/can go through Burma if not we will fly from Katmandhu to Bangkok area and then overland from there to East Timor (I think) and then onto Australia.

Does that make it all more difficult???
