no such thing as a honda CG 125 in italy?

i moved to italy on my motorcycle, a BMW, but it seems that i have only 2 more months before i need to take my bike home to england, or register it as an italian bike.
for what the bike is worth, and how much it would cost to register it here, and how much it would cost to re regester it in england when i move back there in 2 years, it seems more prudent to just buy an Italian bike yes?

as i live in Rome and have been getting around by motorbike so far, a little honda CG seemed like the perfect choice, but scanning the internet it seems they dont exist here. is that correct or are just named something else?

yes i could get a ybr 125, but i rather prefere the spoked wheels and kick starter on the chromed cg125s you can find all over ebay uk for less than a grand.

What about a cb125F? It seems to me that is very similar to the one you are looking for

hmm, yes, good sugestions, but i was quite looking for something i like the style of too, and was planning on making the CG inot something classic looking, like a boneville. the tu250x is a nother option but it seems not so good on fuel as a good old CG, and not as cheap.
might have to make an effort with a old cbf if i can find one cheap enough

I just answered your other thread then I found this one : in actual fact as long as your bike is legal and most importantly, insured n the UK then you can perfectly well use it here for as long as you like , no one really cares as long as you show a UK driving licence if you are pulled over ( never happened to me on my bike ever, after 18 years riding ) , otherwise questions about your residence might be asked .
The Honda CG125 was never sold here, but some clones were. One was the Sym 125 XS , which has a fairly good reputation , and the YBR125, which seems to be a bit more expensive .
All the best
Antonio
