New Royal Enfield - What the possibilities

Hi, my name is Roland, i am german, living in germany but recently in Kerala/India for holidays.
After 6 weeks of staring at this beautiful Royal Enfield's everywhere, a idea came up to buy one, and ride it down to germany. When i found this website, there are some facts ,which i read, that to buy a new bike in India is now ( November 2014 ) impossible, for a non citizen.

Would it be possible, if i gave the money to a local, he buy the bike, get it registered and after a few months he sell's it to me.?

If yes, where can i get a carnet, cause indian authorities deny it.

I know about the fact, that in Nepal i can do. it, but then i pay nearly the german dealer price.Any ideas ??

Roland

Also re-read the replies to your own post at

Specifically the bit about no Indian bike can be taken out of India (except to Nepal/Bangladesh) and CdP must be arranged in Germany.

The bit about an Indian bike will NOT pass the German TUV may also be worth re-reading.

Also, you'll have to pay mwst/ import tax to bring it into the EU.
