Need brake pads in Italy

My husband and myself are currently in Corsica and finding delivery of brake pads to be pretty tough, HOwever, we are going to Naples next week, and could have them delivered to our hotel there by UPS or some such. My husband was told to go to Brakes4U out of Great Britain, where he was able to find the correct part number for his Kawasaki KLR650. Is this our best option?

I'd be very surprised if the brake pads on a klr650 are not found on many other bikes too, including ones sold in Italy. Personally, I would get the part numbers by brand of brake pad manufacturer and visit some bike shops on your route through Italy. Chances are, there's a set somewhere in Corsica too.

Thanks, Chris. We got the part number and found a parts supplier, Brakes4U in London, who can courier them to us in Naples, but the courier fees are expensive. We'll check out your suggestions!

I'm not sure which model KLR you have so I haven't been able to do it for you but on the EBC Brakes website you can cross reference their brake pad reference numbers and get a list of what else they fit.

The web address is: EBC Brakes Direct Motorcycle

Click "Kawasaki", then whatever model KLR you have. That'll bring up a list of what they have that fits your bike. Take their reference number and put that back in the search by part number box and it'll list whatever else they fit.

This one made me scratch my head and wonder why you would need to have brake pads couriered down when you can just get the ones of your choice at any bike shop in Naples . The Klr 650 has always been fairly popular down here. A google search will bring up a whole list of parts retailers in Naples and you can PM me for help if you canta deal wit da lingo.
Failing that, you can buy them online from an Italian supplier here: http://www.motoshopitalia.com/pastig...50KL650AKL650C

There's also a compatibility chart with other models at that link that might be useful.

Good luck.
