Need 2013 F800GS rear shock Honduras

A friend was injured on Roatan, and is flying back for further surgery and a long recovery here. I'm going to bring the bike back. It needs a rear shock. I could even borrow one for the trip back, or if someone knows a source that can provide one quickly (used is preferred for $$ reasons) that would be great. Thanks.

I dealer locator on BMW's website shows that there isn't a dealership in country or Belize.

I would have to say your best bet would be to buy one from the USA and have it shipped to San Pedro Sula. Normal wait time for shipping is about 7-14 days from Florida to Tegucigalpa. It might be shorter as most packages are routed through San Pedro. So you'd order the part in the USA, it would take X days to get to Florida and then the clock starts ticking from there. I don't see it being very cheap though.

If you're going to buy new from the USA let me know. I have a contact that owns a shipping company. Maybe she can help expedite it.

Spoke with a friend and apparently El Salvador and Guate have dealerships. After a longer conversation we both came to the conclusion that short of having a friend bring you one, you're probably best having it sent from the USA.

...and then wait wait wait for the customs to let your package through? Thats why its allways best to use local bikes. People are good mechanics there. Best would be to get someone fiting a local shock into your broken BMW. Then it will be better and more long lasting then original :thumbup1:

I’ve been shipping stuff here since last summer. Haven’t been held up by customs once.
