hi i would like to know if there is anyone living in the joburg area (south africa) who has made the trip from joburg threw to spain on a motorcycle.

Hi Doug,
Im from Cape Town, currently in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. I was heading for spain but got turned back at the Egypt border because an SA Carnet is not valid in Egypt so I turned around and now Im here. Im now trying to get me and the bike back to SA, i may go to Kenya from here as shipping is cheaper from there.
It would seem the only way to spain from SA with SA paperwork is via W coast or possibly through Libya from Sudan.
If youre planning the trip youre in for a fantastic experience.
