Help - How to ship parts to Kazakhstan ?

Hello Folks,

I'm completely new here and hope someone may give me some information in an emergency....:(
I want to help someone on the road right now in Kazakhstan. He needs spare parts to be shipped to Almaty, where he will be getting in a couple of days.
I ordered them from Kedo, Germany (one part isn't ready yet, so I have maybe two days before telling them where exactly and how to ship them.)

Has anybody made the experience, which is the quickest way for this?
UPS, DHL, Fedex?? Something else??
Someone told me, the package might possibly spend quite some time at the customs.
Don't want him do be blocked too long in one place, cause he's on the way to Mongolia.

Thank you very much in advance!! :mchappy:
Best,
Hanne

DHL (German company) will be quicker than UPS or Fedex (US companies) in shipping from Germany to KZ.

It may be held up in customs. There is nothing you can do about that unless you meet someone with good connections.

It will get held up in customs and he will pay import duties. We waited more than a week to have a small part cleared and that was with the help a local friends and a lawyer...

Our part came from Australia via EMS, but would think DHL will be best from Germany.

Good luck
