Fly Fishing

Does anyone combine fly fishing and mc touring? If so, any recommendations on equipment carried would be appreciated.

I think the combination of flyfishing and motorcycletouring is fantastic.
I use a three piece scott 885, but i consider changing to a winston LT 5 pieces Both rods come with an unconditional lifetime warranty. I mount the tube for the rod in a "cupholder" i have attached to the rear footrest, this make the rod prone to damage in an fall overs.... The five piece winston is short enough to fit behind or on topp off the topbox (a small one, or with a large one even inside). A pair of gore tex waders and converse all stars sneakers, and a chest pack the equipment hardly tacke anny space http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ubb/smile.gif

I have recently bought a telescopic rod for that very reason. It is a Shakespeare rod,2.70m, carbon fiber as light as anything and ideal for takeing on the bike. For the price of £40.00 it is a very good rod.
I keep the reel on it and line through the eyes with fly attached, ready to spring into action.
Tight lines.
Carl.
