Buying a bike in Europe
 

Since the choice of bike in the US is not to my taste I am going to purchase a buike in Europe , most likely France or UK unless someone have a better recommandation , is there a country where buying is cheaper , any website that you may prefer . I have both US and French passeport so I don't think it will be a problem to title it in EU .

Regarding your last point, you will need an address in the UK (and it is probably the same for France with the increasing emphasis on prevention of fraud etc in the EU); the address is necessary for a bike to be registered.

There is also a pile of sticky threads in "Trip paperwork" about the other administration, especially insurance.

You could also read what "wheatwacker" is offering as a service for buying a bike in Ireland, if you haven't seen that before.
