Bike Storage - UK

Here we go, a purely practical question that doesn't involve soul-searching, psychoanalysing or philosophising, (the way things are looking here, I'll be lucky if it gets a read). I think my KLR would be jealous if I took along my VFR to Latinamerica with me, so does anyone know of trustworthy, (and cheap!), long-term bike storage facilities. As I will only be popping back every 10 months to a year, I don't really mind where she is stored, although I am currently based in London. Before you say it, I've already done a search, and surprised to find how little info. there is.

Thanks

A few years ago in the (at least the Western) US, when homes seemed to be filled up, the self-storage industry took off. You would rent a little room in an industrial building, and lock it up. As long as you paid the rent, you could keep your things locked up. Anything like this in the UK?

About 10 years ago, a friend of mine who lived in Whitstable was into American muscle cars. He had a friend who was building up an old Chrysler race car. This friend rented a garage from a private party at their home. Obviously this garage would not be available (plus I would have no idea where it is) but there must be someone with a garage that would rent it out to you.

Just sell the bike and buy a similar and probabl cheaper one when you get back.
