Any recommedations on gopro gimbal

Hi guys

I'm going to a tripin October and are looking for a good GoPro camera and a gimbal ( as suggested by my friend)

As I'm new to these equipments, I'd love to hear advice from you. Any advice is welcome.

Thank you so much

I "wasted" an hour with a GoPro salesman on Sat evening (they were sponsoring an event I was taking part in) and he demoed the Hero5 on the karma gimbal. It seemed to do everything it was supposed to do when I walked up and down a field with it but how that would translate to bike use I don't know. It is std fitment on the GP drone so I suppose it must stabilise acceptably but whether it would cope with a potholed road I've no idea. Plus it's quite expensive - but then most of the alternatives are as well.

If you're shooting on "extra wide" I've not had much of a problem with rigidly mounted GoPros - either bolted to the bike or on suction mounts. Gimbal technology looks impressive but for my modest productions I've never really thought one necessary (so far anyway).

Thank you so much backofbeyond for your "wasted" hour :) :thumbup1:, it gave me things to consider on whether to buy a gimbal besides the GoPro.

Would love to hear more advice as well. :welcome:
