Angola Transit Visa for US citizens
 

Hi HU Community!

My husband and I are US citizens and planning to cross from Namibia into Angola near the end of December. We have our own vehicle which is registered in South Africa. We've heard from the Angolan embassy in D.C. that we can only apply for a transit visit, good for only 5 days, and that we have to apply in person at the consulate in Los Angeles because we have to be finger printed. Anyone else gone through this process? Is there a way to expedite it through a 3rd party like a travel agency?

Use Top Chela in Cape Town, they got us a 30 day tourist visa in about 8 working days. :thumbup1: R1000 per visa is what they charge. (last year)
I got one in Windhoek & would only give me 7 day transit (This year) :thumbdown:But you can get it extended at Benguela $90US:innocent:
