91 Octane fuel availability - UK to India?

a question for you guys who have already done this.

Is 91 Octane (2 star) fuel available from the UK thru Turkey-Iran-Pakistan to India?

The reason for my question is that it says in my owners handbook that I have to put at least 91 octane fuel in my VFR 800.

thanks in advance

Tony

The petrol sold in India as unleaded is supposed to be 91 octane but the aromatics and kerosene added at point of sale more often than not tend to bring the rating down considerably. Not much of a problem for Enfields, but more so with a modern bike. I would strongly recomend a good filter, checked often. Ours need replacement on Indian fuel at least every couple of thousand kms.

Steve,
thanks for that.
