2-way radio shops in southern UK?
 

Does anyone know where there are any decent communications shops in the London/South England area? I have seen loads of websites where you can buy online but I want to talk to someone and touch and feel the stuff before I buy it? Looking for the cheaper options e.g. kenwood/motorolla radio with bike to bike kits.

Doing a trip from London to Sydney - have two units from Autocom (www.autocom.co.uk)with Kenwood PMR446 handsets, PTT and VOX. Very impressed with them. Can plug CD/MP3 or walkman in also. Will probably be appropriated at some point once we leave Egypt but working very well up to 1km and 130km/h.

Alternative is Backchat, although not sure where they are based.

what sort of prices are you talking? from what i can tell autocom stuff is quite pricey
