Will me sister be able to reach Finland?
Hello.
I need some advice. My sister is currently in Poland but in two weeks she is supposed to move on to Finland, where her fiance is starting a new job. The problem is, he has a recommendation and proof for starting a job there, whereas she has just a plane ticket. She is a student but since all lessons and lectures are remote she was fine, wherever she landed. I am not worried about her ability to study as she has proven herself reliable and smart. I am worried if she is going to be let into Finland. They have a rented apartment there but the times are shaky, Poland has an increased number of infections, the pandemic is crazy. Is there anything I could tell her to do? Could she check some information, call somewhere? |

Information from the government of Finland: https://valtioneuvosto.fi/en/entry-restrictions
TLDR: If she intends to reside in Finland with her partner, and can prove that - for example, demonstrating a copy of their apartment rental agreement - she should be let in. Having a negative PCR test within 72 hours before her arrival would go a great way towards the border guards' attitude. |
