Syria & Jordan
 

Dear riders,

Has anybody of you been recently in Jordan or Syria. We have planned to be there by April 27th.

Are those regions affected by the political tension between Israel and Palaistine?

Do you get a "war" feeling??

its a few years since I've been in the area but my experience is that they are very friendly and you should have no hassle.

Infact we met a large group of Iraqi's while in Jordan - they were some of the most friendly and hospitable people you could hope to meet, even though the brits and Americans were still bombing Iraq on a daily basis.

I rode through Syria and Jordan in November 2001 and it was great. The people are very friendly and there is no apparent tension from the current troubles in Israel/Palestine.
