Stay away from Southern California
 

If you are planning on heading through southern CA into mexico I would change my plans. There are several fires in the area that are huge. So far 20 people have been killed and they expect to find more bodies when they have a chance to look around. So far they are not even close to controlling the fires. According to the news all the firefighters can do is go along and try to save as many homes as possable. Fires are also burning in northern Mexico, but I don't know where, so be careful. According to my family in the area, NOT close to the fires, the smoke is heavy causing breathing problems even where they are. Visability is reduced as well, not good if your on a motorcycle. If anyone lives in the area and has better info than I please let me know. I am going by the news and reports from family in the area.

THE CDF (California Dept. of Forestry) IS HOPING TO HAVE THE MAIN FIRE OUT THIS WEEKEND!

So far only 13 deaths. One fire fighter from Marin county(?) died yesterday. All of San Diego harts go out to his family.
