Siberia
I drove last year from Denmark to Turkey, Iran, Central Asia, China and Siberia and Russia approximately 30.000 km in 5 months. Now I have started to plan a motorcycle trip through Russia and Siberia to Yakutsk. From highway 5 “The Kolyma Highway” to Magadan. It is perhaps the most difficult route to climb. Winter is the reasonably secure but not on Mc. Spring from May to June, the roads are dissolved. In July it should be reasonable and in August-September water from the mountains around spoil the road. Who has driven this stretch in 2015?

Sorry, but the Kolyma Highway (M56, or R504, never Route 5 btw) is one of the parts of Russia I have not seen.
But just a couple of tips to get information on a web forum: 1. Don't double post. 2. Try to be slightly (a lot) more precise in your title. 'Siberia' is a big place, as you have seen. Try a title like 'Anyone ridden Kolyma Highway 2015?' Good luck EO |
Steffen (nickname "Boarder" I think in this forum) is currently riding the BAM with a friend.
