Once again, If you need any assistance with regards to your personal safety, Please reply to this forum and I will make every possible effort to put you in contact with someone who may be able to assist you. I am based in the UK so please allow for time differences.

I have travelled through much of the Middle East last year, that is, Turkey, Syria, Jordan and Egypt and can offer more specific advice on these regions.

Last year, I had an accident in the Sinai Desert and it was through this website that I made contact with the people in Cairo who eventually assisted with my repatriation to England.
I would like to take this time to thank them. You know who u r ;-)

Thanks Ceasar for the links. Here's a few more:

US Department of State - Bureau of Consular Affairs. This is the department which issues Travel Advisories and Consular Information. It is worth checking on any country which you are considering travelling to.

UK online website for the emergency situation in the United States. It provides a help centre for UK citizens including links to up to date information from the Foreign Office, embassies and airlines. http://emergencynews.ukonline.gov.uk

All in one communication center intergrating voicemail, email, fax and a travel vault. From lonely planet. I have used it for sometime now. Excellent stuff. Good way to get around local operators, unreliable telecoms infrastructure etc.
Free (Phonecalls need a credit card)
