Libyan visa in the Cairo
 

Does anybody knows if it is possible to get a Libyan transit visa in Egypt ?
I intend travel with a BMW GS from Egypt to Tunisia end of this month.
Any tips or experience are welcome.

I have swiss motorciclist friend who tried to obtain the lybian visa in Cairo and they said to me that it's possible. Their email is cleeb@tiscali.ch

I think the point is: how much time to wait you have? To have the visa for Lybia in Italy I waited 5-6 weeks...

I travelled from Tunisia to Egypt two months ago: we hadn't any problem.

Two tips:
1) few kilos after the libyan border, at the first check point, turn right on a secondary road towards the sea. You'll reach an incredible fjord with a gorgeous view;
2) remember you need to register at a police station after few days you are in Lybia (triangular stamp): we didn't do that (we didn't know...) and we had problems to leave the country.

And what route did you take through Libia... any difficulties regarding the vehicle in Libya or Egypt?
