The IWPR is a charity organisation which reports impartially (or so they say) in the Balkans, Middle East, Caucasus, and Central Asia.
I've been following their site recently and find some of the articles quite interesting.
Good for pre-trip research.
They have told me that they are setting up an office in Africa, unfortunately it's going to be based in South Africa.
Which is a pity as I think the real issues which affect us occur in the sub-sahara.

Hi Geoff..sick of media releases are you? I was impressed that the opening of a donut shop in London got onto BBC world news every hour for two days... I believe most agencies have one journalist for all of Africa bar SA.....given nothing of course ever happens there.. ..(sic) why should anyone need another...will they stop hearsay reporting!
