hi,
was there this summer for a month. we did a 4 month trip in southeast on 250 cc motorbikes. i guess it depends on wich bike you bring. around tonle sap and to sihanoukville is oke. coming fom loas to krachi is half paved, half dirt/stones. coming from thaiborder to siemreap is still a mightmare i heard, we took te way south direction koh chang island, a dirt road with small ferryboats and lots of mudfun.
the roads to sen monorom and ban lung are dusty (if dry) but very doable on every bike i guess. the problem is if it starts raining there. dont know the septembermonths in southeast. i was lucky to reach tbeang meanchey and prasat preah vihear but it was way to muddy and dangerous to go to prasat khan in july. there is a nice dirtroad (tollroad) going to koh ker...
anyway, its going to depand on the weather i guess. i prefered the north and the roads in the east. krachi is small but nice (go and see the dolphins) and go do some dirtdriving around sen monorom. theres a nice waterfalls there..
enjoy it and write me how it was in september....
