Blockades on San Cristobal-Palenque road?
 

Hi all-

We arre in San Cristobal today and plan on taking the road north to Palenque tomorrow. Seen some talk about blockades and delays on the road recently, and we're about to head into the Xmas holiday. Anyone have any recent news about activity on the road?

We're on two bikes and empty the patience and kindness technique in dealing with these things, but if there is too much going on, we can reroute through Villahermosa...

Maybe a little late for you but may help others. We rode this rode for the second time on Tuesday 22nd December 15 with absolutely no issues. The first time the road was blocked and we were delayed by two hours. That was 26th July 15, a Sunday. Maybe they decide to block the road when they know there will be many people trying to go home at the end of the weekend i.e. Sunday.
