wtb: Marzocchi Magnum or WP Extreme 50mm conventional forks (in the US?)

Looking to convert the front end on my GS, have found a source for custom triple clamps and need to now find forks.

Does anyone have a rebuildable set of 50mm WP Extreme or Marzocchi Magnum's for sale?

I am still trying to figure out what this whoel affair may cost, thanks for looking!

Best you can do for used is to scour the KTM, Husky and Aprillia lists and boards and see if anyone has a crashed bike or knows where to find these.
Try ADVrider also. Lots of know it alls over there.

I do believe there are both WP and Marzocchi dealers in the US, just have
no idea who they are. Google is your friend.

The Aprillia Capo Nord uses 50mm Marzocchi's, and they are wonderful!

What kind of "GS" are you converting?:confused1: A GS500 Suzuki, A R80GS, R100GS, R1100, 1150 or 1200GS, F650GS, or "other"?

Cost? Depends if new or used.

Personnaly never had good reports about Marzocchi forks they tend to wear out a bit too fast. WP are very fiddly to get working correctly. personal choice try and find some Paioli blue steel forks same as Marzocchi but last a lot longer or some Ohlins forks the quality is far better than WP IMHO.

Spot on Brian,
I actually haven't heard much regards the longevity of Marzocchi but I ridden
a few bikes with them, they seem to work well. Paoli too are nice...aren't they
OEM on Husqvarna now?

You are correct about WP being fiddley to set up. I've tested a lot of KTM's
and its always tough. Both my own KTM's took a lot of hit and misses to get
in the ballpark. I am NOT a fan of WP. Showa and KYB are both better, especially Showa.

I tested a Buell recently (City X) equipped with Showa. Fantastic forks,
really very very nice and so easy to dial in.
