Acerbis tank for Yamaha XT500 for sale in UK

I have an Acerbis tank for a XT500 for sale, I believe it to be 18 litres and apart from discolouration due to age is in good condition, no scrapes or cuts. It comes with a filler cap, petrol taps and mounting bracket.
It is in Devon and I am looking for about £100 for it with postage at £10 if not collected. If interested you can PM me, an e-mail address and I can send photos.

Mate this wouldnt by any chance fit a ccm 644 ds?

I think you'll struggle to find a tank to fit a 644 CCM. I've got the older 604 and went through this four or five years ago. The main problem seems to be the width of the central gap in the tank. I tried loads of tanks and couldn't find anything wide enough to fit. I have three large tanks here (two Acerbis and one Clarke) for various Honda models and they are nowhere near wide enough.

I have no idea but backofbeyond is probably right, the tunnel through the middle is not particularly wide at about 70mm at its narrowest point.

Hi Mark,
Is the Tank still for sale? I am thinking of buying a MT350 and as you say this tank might fit,
Kind regards.
Andrew.

I have an XT500 acerbis tank on my MT350. It requires a bit of a mod at the seat end of the tank.

If you look at the MT Riders Club there is a section for large tank mods.

I love my MT it's a great travel bike, Lighter than your average adventure bike, heavier than your avverage enduro machine.

Very reliable (as long as you look after it). Simple to maintain.

Not got a huge top speed but is ample for a bimble, just means you need a bigger straight to over take lorrries on the a roads.

I don't know anyone who has had one of these and doesn't like it!!

A friend of mine has one, it was one of those at Ripley last year and he is very happy with it, We had a steady ride up from Devon and it was doing 80 mpg cruising at 50-55 mph on A and B roads. A useful bike.

Thanks for the info lads, all of my present bikes are vintage including my BMW K100rs so top end speed is not realy an issue.
Thanks again.
