Where to rent for the Pyrennes?

Any recommendations for moto renting when traveling the Pyrennes?

Are you wanting to base yourself somewhere, if so for how long.
What are the important things to you

A bit more info will probably get more accurate responses

Spain is cheaper than France. If you're there for a while, buy a bike, they're cheap - you'll get an oldish one for 500 euro or less! (second hand, leboncoin.fr for France). Toulouse has a bike rental, but I can't remember it right now, google should help there.

If your coming to the French side to do the Pyrenees, have a word with Laurent Dozias at Ride in Tours Voyagiste à moto & location moto et scooter. he does rental and sell and buy back schemes geared to your requirements.

Although some recommend buying a bike from the internet or dealer, I will try and put you off. It is now almost impossible for a non resident to purchase and register a bike in either France or Spain, unless you jump through hoops and get the right documentation to prove some form of residency and an address where the bike can be registered . Without registration in your name you can't get insurance. You will also need a full International Driving Permit ( easy to get) if you are from outside the EU. By the time you've sorted everything out, your time here might be up,( it can take weeks), and don't even dream about doing things without the right paperwork in Europe, one slip up and you could be paying bills for the rest of your life. IMHO use a rental company, much easier and you get full insurance, peace of mind and more time to travel.

Ask Anton at Rent-a-Tiger in Barcelona, which is by ran the best destination for flights within Europe as well as hosting long haul from wherever ...

Speaking of either France or Spain is a bit meaningless, as to get the best out of the Pyrenees you criss-cross over the border constantly, crossing the frontier several times in the same day. Having said that accommodation, food and even fuel are considerable cheaper in Spain - and it's much more sunny! :)

Check out my blog for some ideas.

PS don't bother with Andorra!
