Sleeping bag
What is the best compact sleeping bag for occasional minus degree nights but mostly hot weather?

I have no insight on which is, "The best" sleeping bag for those conditions but find my Ajungilak Kompakt 3-Seasons has got me through some pretty chilly nights yet not made me too uncomfortable during some warm ones too.

Get a Big Agnus. I've tried several other bags and this one has a slot for my thermalite air pad. Packs super small with a compression bag.

I've been using an IKEA style down duvet - the sort you throw over your bed, for the last couple of trips. Coldest night with it so far has been just over freezing (it was fine), hottest about 20c (easy to kick off). it packs down small and didn't cost anywhere near as much as my decent sleeping bag so it's not a tragedy if it gets dirty etc. You just need a decent sleeping mat (or even a not very decent one - I've been using a £5 pump up lilo style mat on this trip and it works well).

You need a small 2 season sleeping bag for the warm nights backed up with a fleece thermal liner for when it gets cold.
