Sheepskin seat covers

I have just been sent an email from a UK company - Hide and Sheep. They are closing down and have a closing down sale. The web site address is here. I got one from them last year and it makes my seat very comfortable and it doubles as a pillow at night.

I know that Sam Minicom has stated a preference for skins with lanolin still in them - these ones have been washed so they are not water repellent as they would be if they had lanolin in them but I couldn't find anywhere that sold them like that. Also, I try not to ride in the rain so hopefully not an issue!

I don't have any connection the company except as a happy customer. The prices now range from £40-50.

STOP, FORGET ABOUT SHEEPSKINS they are useless in the rain and silly expensive; do as the peruvians do, use a bathmat! yes, the oval thing you step onto when you leave the shower, (and they are available in pretty coloursdoh)

3d mesh net seat cover has been the best solution for me.

You have an oval thing outside your shower that works on a bike seat?

yes B.O.B. a bathmat, if you have an oval toilet seat you can try that, bit difficult to attach to the bike though:eek3:

Need I mention that you should chop it to size

Shoot, cut some armholes in that thing and add a few buttons and you've got a cold-weather, high-viz vest. Or maybe....mittens. A Russian-style hat. Cold-weather gaiters. Even a COVID mask.

But seat cover? I'm not sold on it just yet.
