Purchase a "NEW " bike
 

How many miles / days do you need to test a "new " bike ?
and discover its shortfalls ?
after owning a far few i would say min 500 miles or a week:scooter::scooter::scooter::scooter::

I am pretty quick to form an opinion of a new bike and a 30-50 mile dealer test ride is usually enough for me to make my mind up.

I find it really takes me a couple of hundred miles to really "get a feel" for the bike.

I was able to identify a couple of bikes that I wouldn’t buy quite quickly but the three of ended up choosing from all benefitted from test rides well in excess of an hour and a half. I guess that the Moto Guzzi that I have now was ridden for about 100 miles and 3 hours in total.
