Meshtastic/LoRa at HU Travellers Meeting Virginia 2024?
 

Are any Meshtastic/LoRa fans attending the HU Virginia event in April? If there are, I'll bring my radio and we can play together. I've only used Meshtastic to send messages to myself in my neighborhood. I'd like to know how effective Meshtastic is for communicating outside.

What's Meshtastic? It's software for communicating over inexpensive, low power, long range (LoRa), high latency radios. You can use it as a private text message network. You can use it to connect internet-of-things devices.

I use a LilyGo T-Echo, a B&Q Consulting Nano G1, and a B&Q Consulting Station Edition G1. The T-Echo seems to be out of stock everywhere and the Nano G1 and Station Edition G1 have been superseded by newer devices.
