MCE bike insurance UK – avoid.
 

Morning all,


I reinsured my bike on 16 January with MCE Bike Insurance for £226. Sold the bike yesterday, less than 6 weeks later. Phoned and cancelled the policy this morning to be told I’m entitled to a total of £63 back.

I know they have ‘admin charges’ but £163??? That’s 70% of the total policy for 6 weeks of cover and the fabled 'admin charge'.

Clearly I should have paid monthly and will do in future – just not with MCE.


Lesson learnt.


Hope those in the UK have been enjoying the sunshine and those further afield are having fun.


Ride safe!

Most of their charges are made up om the spot. And they need to be justified. Ask them for a detailed breakdown of all charges and say you need them for the case you are opening with the insurance ombudsman.

Many a time I've questioned and argued fees and charges and many times they've been quashed or reduced.

Insurance is legalised fraud and extortion.
