XT 600 e spark/ignition problem
 

hi, basicly lately my bike has had a very weak spark and alot of the time it is very intermittent. i was riding home today and it was ok(ish) in low revs but as soon as i open it up abit it would stutter and sounded as if it was missin a spark here and there.
i swapped the coil with one known to be ok and the problem persists.
im starting to think it is the TCI as up untill a few days ago it was bullet proof.
any info would be greatly appreciated.

Did you also try a new plug and a different plug cap and HT lead ??

Could be a bad connection.


Also check continuity of the wires that leave the coil.

Wiggle them while you check.

i have tryed a new HT lead, plug and cap :/ i did test the coil resistance and the sec coil was a tad high so ive got a new coil in the post
