Which OEM parts?

Im currently working temporarily outside EU, so i can save VAT on orders.

Im about to purchase some OEM parts for my TTR; brake pads, chain slider, rear taillight (current is broken), and some other odds and ends. I already have clutch/throttle cables, air/oil filter and spare o-rings.

Im not talking tubes, tools, etc., only bike parts.

What parts should i add for a Morocco/West Africa trip? Well, not just for that trip, but i have the chance to save some cash on VAT, so might as well stock up on some commonly used spares.

Im thinking about a spare regulator and spark plug cap...how model-specific are those?

Only issues ive had on my bike so far has been a broken frame bolt (bought a spare) and broken exhaust mount, so im not too experienced, REALISTICALLY speaking of course, in what can break/stop a trip.

Thanks

Two different types of 'spares';
  1. Consumables;
    Fuel, oil, filters, spark plugs,
  2. Crash/Failure;
    ignition coil, HT lead, headlight, speedo, handle bar, indicators

VAT savings may not pay for the storage costs/inconvenience ..
As you cannot predict the 'crash/failure' items buying these is a lottery, selecting high failure items for your model is a good idea.
