I am storing my Battlewings while I travel for a year on TKC80s but I've been told that they only have a shelf life of about 3 months once the initial protective coating has been run off. I was also told that they might still be rideable after a longer period if I keep them warm and maybe even wrap them in cling-film.

Anybody have any experience/tips to share on this??

Stored in a reasonably stable temperature and humidity, away from UV and ozone they will keep for ages. Give them a good clean and let them dry, wrap up in a couple of bin-bags and put them away. Job Done
