Tell me your blown rear shock story
 

I am leaving soon for 10 to 12 months on the road (Americas) and it seems like my biggest worry is a blown rear shock.

This seems to be a problem that plagues us all since we carry high loads on rough terrain for months on end.

I am curious to hear a out your blown shock story. What bike, what load, what conditions, where etc... how did the problem start, what was your fix or replacement, if you were stranded, how long and how much did this snafu cost you in the end?

What did you learn from this?

Get your shock made rebuildable n carry a kit, Sasquatch at Adventure Powersports in Eagle , Idaho quoted me $225 plus parts for a Triumph 800xc shock for a FYI
