how to adjust foot rest or gear lever for MX Boots
Hi,
today I picked up my new Yamaha Ténéré 700. Having both a brand new bike AND brand new MX Boots ( Sidi Crossfire, never had MX Boots before ), I had a hard time shifting as I could hardly get my foot under the shifter pedal. I am now thinking of getting either lower foot rest OR an adjustable gear lever. What do you think? Is that really necessary or am I just not patient enough? Any other idea? Thanks for your advice! I've always had to adjust shift levers when switching boots. That's not the whole story, but it's where I start.

Thanks Cholo, will give it a try tomorrow. Have seen that stick but - without giving it a try though - I thought it would not be sufficient. Lets see.

If it's not sufficient I'd bet that there is still a spline on the bit attached to the engine that can be rotated on the shaft. :)

I could indeed easily adjust the lever by turning the rod as Cholo discribed. I also removed the footrest rubber inserts and changed my seating position. Tada ...
Thanks for your tips, guys! |
