Exhaust heat protection bodge?
 

Hi, just wondering if I can avoid reinventing the wheel here - does anyone have an easy way to put soft luggage on a bike with a high exhaust and not melt it?

The bikes both have the mandatory heat shields so pillions don't get burnt, but I'm not sure I trust that to not eventually burn a hole through a bag ... especially since when I bought my soft panniers they already had a burn hole on them :cool4:

I'm thinking a heat shield for the heat shield, but maybe there's a smarter way?
