17 inch dual purpose tyre?

Does anybody know of a 17 inch dual purpose tyre? I'm looking for 110/80-17 for the front and a 140/70-18 rear.I know I can get a 140/80-18 for the back, but its the front that seems to be the problem. Alternatively I could swap the front wheel for an 18 inch, but matching the wheel could be a problem.
I'm converting my 1992 Kawasaki 550 Zephyr into a flat tracker style bike.
Any help appreciated, thanks, Richard.

Any change in wheel size possibly expensive quickly.

Hi Patrick, I've had a look at the website and they don't list a 17 inch FRONT.
That is my problem. Street tyres I can get easily.
The bike will be flat track style, I have no intention of chucking it sideways!
It's an old Zephyr, worth nothing, unused for 2yrs, so I want something different.
Streetfighter style is common and a good one is going to cost money. Flat tracker, or,
street tracker style bikes are quite rare over here (UK) so its a chance to be different
on a budget.

I was going to upload a picture but a 39.1kb limit for a jpeg is a bit small.

Regards, Richard.

Richard,

I like your idea; the little 550 could make a cracking Street Tracker. I've a couple of thoughts but no experience of this so don't take my word for it.

1 The treat pattern on the Conti looks similar front & rear so maybe you could fit the narrowest rear on the front wheel. I don't suppose it would do a lot for the handling but could look pretty cool.

2 Get a set of MX / Enduro forks and a 21" wheel

If you jacked up the rear a bit with some longer travel shocks you might end up with a very different looking bike.

Let us see some pickies when you're done
