Cigarette type vs Hella. Opinions, brands? Ta

Without wanting to hijack your thread what are the advantages of a Hella fitting over a cigarette fitting?

Hella fittings, also known as Euro or DIN fittings, as fitted on BMW for instance are somewhat more robust, and make a better internal connection. I've also found they generally are better quality with a better wire connection. They're designed for long term use whereas a cigarette fitting is designed for 30 seconds of use occasionally.
A cigarette connectors only advantage in my mind is that it will take any cigarette fitting AND a Hella / DIN connector with the adapter that often comes with them.

But I have two Hella / DIN fittings on my own bike. (And a DIN to cigarette adapter sitting in my toolbox at home just in case!)

Plugs vibrate out of a lot of the cigarette type ones if you use them on the move. They’re fine(ish) if you just use them static (like plugging in tent lights). Not brilliant in wet weather either unless you have a cover (and use it) or site them them somewhere sheltered.
