xf650 comfort setting is missing!

I picked up a XF650 for a steal a few months ago but I find it very uncomfortable after a very short time. My gut feeling is that the bars are to blame for this. Has anyone found issue with there XF650? I'm 5ft8in so not tall but this thing gets me in the back after less than half hour riding on tarmac!, this is the first bike ever to do this.

I think the bike is stock as far as I can see with the only mod being the rear shock is set to the second bolt hole effectively lowering the rear by approx. 25mm. the fronts are at the highest they can be ( not lowered)

Forks (front end) is lowered internally, not by raising fork tubes in triples. I would return all to stock height unless you need it lower. You get more leg room in standard position. Helps overall comfort, gives back a bit of suspension travel lost from lowering.

I'm assuming XF forks are same non-cartridge 43mm KYB units used on DR650?

Also, if seat is anything like DR650 then your experience is typical. It's a one hour seat before pain sets in. Wider is better. Here is my Corbin ... good for 10 hours a day in the saddle. :thumbup1:

Try cycling bottoms with the padding in, I use to get the gel pads put in the seats of my bikes,,,now I wear cycling bottoms when I'm away touring more a month or so, made a big difference, I can site on the bike all day :mchappy:
