Drz400s oil leak.

My drz400s is leaking through the rubber block where stator wires go through! The edge of rubber block is sealed, oil is coming out where wires go into block.

Any suggestions on how to seal the wire holes in the rubber block?https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...fb8128167f.jpg

There is a rubber grommet around the cable that holds the oil in the case. This grommet is held in place with a RTV high temp sealant. Like Universal Blue.

Yours has probably failed.

You need to remove the case, clean everything up and re-seal with sealant.

This will require a new gasket for the case also.

If you want to bodge it, you can clean the whole area with solvent or petrol, let it dry and then stuff sealant around the leak.

Thanks but that's been done. The oil isn't leaking past the edge of the block. Its leaking from where the wires go into the block.

Well replace the grommet or add sealant to where it's leaking.

clean the area up with carb or brake cleaner then try "captain tolleys creaping crack cure" to seal around the wires.
