African fuel

Hi Ron,

We are in Niger heading to Capetown, riding DRZ 400's, the S model, rather than the E. The E is slightly higher compression.

We have used fuel from the usual African cans, bottles and hand pumps with no problems at all. Bikes have done about 24000 miles (an SK3 and an SK5), no detonation trouble, not noticed any power drop, but they don't have that much too lose anyway!

We had our original seats made comfy and lower by a UK company, your only option might be a Corbin (Corbin Motorcycle Seats & Accessories | Suzuki Motorcycles | 800-538-7035), expensive but lower than standard.

Hope this helps.
