Search Facebook for DR650 riders group, also google search DRriders.com
You will find both these sites very usefull. Many Dr650 owners have turned their 650's into 800's, one company in the U.S is even playing with a 900 modification.
Also try contacting Jesse Kientech @ kientech engineering .com, he's a bit of a guru with DR's.
An option of using a can off a GSXR with an adapting mid pipe (between header pipe & GSXR can) may be available. Also contact procycle.us they stock heaps of gear specifically for DR650's.
I used all the above sites when researching modifications on my 650 & I'm still a regular on the FB page.

replacement DR800 pipe?

is the DR800 dual exhaust? Looks like at least some of them were..

I have a GSXR pipe on my DR650 - love it. Very hard to find now, but the equally performing Hayabusa pipes are readily available on Ebay. Not sure if you could go two-to-one, or just use two of the stock Hayabusa pipes. Procycle makes a mid pipe adapter that works with both GSXR/'Busa pipes, but it is for the DR650. not sure if you could make that work. I'm sure with some welding and drilling anything would work.
