Dr 650se Repair Manual?

Been searching for too long now trying to find a manual for a 97 dr650se. Really would like to buy one, in book format like a haynes manual or something. Anyone know how or where to get one in the UK or downloadable one off the net?

Most grateful. :)

The only manual I'm aware of is the original Suzi manual. You can d/l it here: http://tinyurl.com/ye8wlhy (83MB).

i found today two service repair manuals on ebay for the dr650se but it says dated 1995. do you think they are the ones for 96 model up??

what year is yours skip?

The DR was totally up dated/changed in 1996 so a '95 manual is not for your bike. Make sure you get a post '96 book. Any DR650 book from '96 up to 2000 or so would be fine. There have been only very minor changes to the bike since '96, only minor jetting, smog stuff, cam timing. So find one for '96 to 2000 and you should be OK. But basically, even the 2010 bike is the same.

Ebay is full of pre '96 garbage. The pre '96 bike has been out of production since '95, that's 15 years. Almost zero on the road here in the USA at this point.

thank you mighty sir for that info.

what about if it says dr650se?? im guessing thats the right one. the se model was introduced in 96 wasn't it?

Yes, current DR650's are DR650SE. But just make sure of the year and you'll be good to go. For all I know, Suzuki may have used the SE designation before the big re-model in 1996.

It's also possible Suzuki changes designations from country to country. In the USA, we've only had the DR650SE since 1996.
