Bash plate + centerstand to Vstrom650A

I thought I´d get Suzuki´s "original" aluminum bashplate to cover the engine from beneath, but there seems to be problem (or so they said) mounting the centerstand, if the bashplates fitted. Usually I can do without centerstand, would probably not even want one, but Im going on a long trip, may have to fix tyres right in the middle of nowhere, put the bike on ferries, etc., so it´d probably be good to have also a centerstand fitted.

Anyone have experience, how to make both of them fit the DL650 at the same time? I figure it should be possible, but are we talking big modifications here? Also, if someone has some information about some other bashplate (than Suzuki´s) which might fit with a Suzuki centerstand (or other), I´d be very thankful for all information.

The bike´s a K7, with ABS, if that makes any difference.

I think you will find what you want at either of these places. I realize they are a long way away but ........

Hi

I have just installed a centrestand on my K6 650. I have Givi crash bars and this yew bute belly pan. here is a link to it. A bit pricy, but it is great looking and for the type of off roading the strom does is ideal. Note, it will not do tree stumps or boulders.

MotoAgora - Podia bellypan for the V-Strom 650 (DL 650)

Cheers
