Visa needed for Gambia ?? recent experience, cost, where to procure?

Senegal erases the Visa requirement for EU, North America..... but Gambia initiates it at a cost ?

Most EU nationals and Commonwealth citizens don't require a visa for Gambia. USA passport holders do unfortunately and have done for quite some time.

Visa may not be biggest problem for Gambia at present - border is officially (or unofficially) closed to vehicles in a dispute over tariffs. The going rate to get past this issue is about 50,000CFA per person, AND they were insisting on stamping your carnet out. Good luck bargaining, or go round Gambia seems the way this week...
