Visa for Sudan in Cairo
 

It is possible to get a tourist visa for Sudan at the Embassy in Cairo (7-11 Ahmed Al Shatouri, Ad Doqi, Dokki, Giza Governorate). Open from 9-12.
I got my visa the same day
You need a letter of invitation from a Sudanese tour operator (Although I met a German couple who got their visa showing a photo of their vehicle with a roof tent explaining that they would sleep in their car) and 2 photos.
Costs: USD 150, credit cards are not accepted.
