Trans Atlantic Questions

Heading for Senegal in a weeks time then heading up to Morocco via hitching and public transport. Some final questions:

1) Arriving in Mopti at the end of February, how many days (give or take a couple) to go by river up to Korioume? I´ve read depending on water level, boat load etc. it can take anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks.

2) Route suggestions from Timbuktu to Nouakchott. I understand there is a paved road from NK to Nema but specifically am interested in
feedback getting to Nema.

3) I have yet to come across an estimated time for the trip from Bamako to Mopti

Thanks in advance,

Jeff

- Didn't go.

- Timbuktu south to Douentza is sand/gravel and not so many transports, then main road to Mopti (one day). Mopti to Bamako on good road (one day), Bamako to Nema on good road, maybe some gravel (one day). Nema to Nouakchott on good road (two days).

3) I have yet to come across an estimated time for the trip from Bamako to Mopti.
- One day. I did it on a motobike, but if you are hitching, you need some luck to find transport.

Good luck!
