Can anyone help me with a problem.Im looking for plane ticket from Europe to Niamey(Niger)and going back from Dakar. Is this posible????????? and does anybody know where to get best deal. Im coming from Slovenia
and the best it would be from Italy, Austria or Germany.

I flew Aeroflot a couple times form and to west Africa. A couple a years ago they flew to almost every capital in West Africa. Quite sure Dakar is still in the scedule, but not sure about Niamey. May be Ouagadougou is another option?
When I tried to find an open retour-ticket Ouaga - Europe - Ouaga (I 'parked' my bike in Ouagadougou for a year) Aeroflot turned out more then half the price then any other airline. Only 'problem' was that they always fly via Moscow, so dont be surprised it takes you over a day to get from Amsterdam to Ouaga (via Moscow, Tunis and Bamako )....
And the planes they use to fly to Africa are not the newest or biggest, but it wil get you there....

The charter group Point Afrique have really good deals flying from Paris/Marsailles to Agadez/Niamey/Gao/Atar and a few other West African destinations. See them at www.point-afrique.com I flew with them from Niamey - Paris in Feb 2002 and they were excellent. (They don't fly from Dakar however.)

I flew one way from Niamey to Paris (change at Algiers) with Algerian national airline in 97. I bought the ticket locally in Niamey for a very good price. Presumably you can still do the reverse.
